Hawzah News Agency (Baghdad, Iraq) – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim received a group of media activists from Saudi Arabia in his office on Monday, February 26.

During the meeting, the Iraqi cleric highlighted that the upcoming election in Iraq is very decisive for the future of the country since it helps accelerate the process of democratizing Iraq.

Hujjat al-Islam Hakim continued, “The process of establishing democracy in Iraq is developing and reaching certain progress. It is due to the fact that no one in Iraq is sure of the results of upcoming election; the Iraqi citizens have a high sense of political understanding. “Ammar al-Hakim added.

Speaking on the current conditions of Middle East, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim remarked, "The doors to discussion and negotiations with Iraq are open to anyone; we are also making effort to maintain best mutual ties with the neighboring countries in our region as well as with the whole world. Our policy is to keep balance in our relationships with other countries."
